Section 1: My Reservation

Are you opening for the 2022 season?

We will re-open from Friday 18th March 2022 for weekends until Easter. We are open fully
from the 8th of April 2022 until the 30th of September 2022. And we are open for weekends only
for the month of October 2022. Closing for camping, campervan, caravan and glamping on
Monday 31st October 2022.

Do you take camper vans or touring caravans on-site?

Yes, we cater for single-axle touring caravans and our campervanning friends.  For both of these categories, book through the RV section.  We have both hardstands and grass pitches suitable for both.

Do you cater for camping with Tents?

Absolutely!!!  We are the South East’s premier camping grounds for those who opt for canvas over vehicles! We also have designated hiker/ motorcyclist pitches available that are suitable for a small 2 man tent. Electric hook up is available for all pitches.

Are there Hiker/Cyclist/Motorcyclist rates?

Yes, there are, please see our rates when booking online.

Do you rent mobile homes?

No, we don’t rent mobile homes.

Do you take bookings for bigger tents?

Yes, we sure do! We have different sized pitches from 100sqm to 140sqm.  Our standard pitches take most tents, but if you think you need a larger pitch, you can upgrade during your booking.

Is the accommodation price per tent or per person

Neither!  This is an important question and one we are happy to clarify.  The prices are per pitch with up to 4 people included in that price. If you are a family/group of 5 or more staying on one pitch, you can add additional guests during your booking process.

How much is it to add an additional Adult?

Add an additional adult to the pitch for just €6.50 per night.

How much is it to add an additional Child?

Add an additional child to your booking for just €5 per night.

Can I choose my pitch?
Although a pitch number is issued from the booking engine at the time of booking, all pitches will be allocated from the office. This will allow us to try to facilitate family or friend groups to be together or close by each other for their stay.

How do I make my booking?

The way to make a booking with us is by visiting our online booking section at www.ioac.ie. Choose camping, glamping or RV Park. You can then enter the number of guests in the top left corner. Next, choose your preferred dates and view availability. Add the names of each guest or tick the box if you would like to make a “group booking”.

Note: The maximum number of guests per pitch is set to 4. But don’t worry, you will be able to add additional guests and upgrade your booking including electricity, a second car and more when completing your booking online.

Am I able to pay a booking deposit?

Yes. There is a 50% booking deposit required with each booking.

What happens after my booking?

Get packing! You’re heading on vacay! 🙂 You’ll receive an initial confirmation from us within 15 minutes after booking indicating that your reservation or booking request has been received. If you have any problems, please email us at info@ioac.ie or call us on +353 53 9189022, we’re here to help.

Section 2: My Payment

When do I have to make the final payment if I have paid a deposit?

Final payment can be made prior to arrival – you will receive an email with this option or you can choose to pay the balance on arrival at check-in.

What payment options do you have?

We have a credit/debit card machine at reception. We also accept cash (Euro).

Section 3: My Booking Request

Can I make a special request and choose where I am placed onsite?

If you have a specific pitch in mind, please state this at the time of your booking and we will do our best to accommodate you. Although this cannot be guaranteed, we always try our best to keep parties together, but during peak season this may be more difficult. Make sure that you use the same “Group Name” for each booking.

Note: It is important that the names of the parties arriving together are mentioned in each booking so that we can try to keep them together.

Section 4: My online booking seems to have failed

I tried to complete my booking but it seems to have failed?

That can happen!  Usually, this is a simple time-out issue, i.e. the booker running out of time in completing a booking.  To sort this, simply restart the booking. Otherwise, phone the office for advice and assistance.

I did not receive an acknowledgement of receipt?

Have you checked your spam mailbox? Sometimes our confirmations end up there. If this is still not the case, please contact us as soon as possible.

Section 5: Can I change my booking? What is your refund policy?

Due to circumstances, I have to cancel my holiday, am I entitled to a refund?

We’re sorry to hear you are unable to make it or have to return home earlier. Outside of the aforementioned Covid 19 special provisions, the IOAC operates a reasonable Cancellation Policy.  If a booking is cancelled at any time prior to 7 days of your arrival date, we would be happy to provide you with a full refund.  If it is cancelled after 7 days but before 3 days of your arrival date, we offer a 50% refund.  Any cancellations made within three days of arrival or at any stage on or after your arrival date, we are unable to offer you a refund.  For more information, please read our Terms & Conditions.

How do I change my booking?

Dates can be changed when there is availability on the new dates. Please phone the office on +353 53 9189022 or email us at info@ioac.ie for advice.

Section 8: On the campus

I’m nervous about COVID-19? What safety measures do you have in place?

We understand your concerns and want to reassure you that your safety and the safety of others is extremely important to us! We are proud to be one of the many businesses in Wexford that are Fáilte Ireland COVID-19 Safety Charter compliant. This means that our staff are fully trained to help keep our guests safe.

We have safety measures in place that you will see in areas such as our reception and communal areas. They are designed to keep both our staff and our guests as safe as possible.

What amenities do you have onsite?

Spacious Camping Pitches!  Whether you’re in a camper van, touring caravan or tent, we have pitches to suit all.

It is not available across the campus, providing the perfect opportunity for young and not-so-young to unplug from the rat-race for a while!  Mobile data is strong on-campus, so if you really do need a Facebook fix or wander around Twitter, you’ll be just fine! 😉

Can everyone use the swimming lake and pontoon freely?

Our beautiful lake is an Activity Lake and can only be used when accompanied by IOAC staff as part of a booked activity.  Your safety and enjoyment is paramount and therefore access to the lake is not permitted outside of these times.

Can I bring a BBQ?

Absolutely, you can bring a BBQ!  What camping adventure would be the same without one?!  However, to ensure the enjoyment of others, especially those that will use your pitch after you, we have a few rules so that everyone can have a great experience.

You should not place your BBQ directly on the grass, especially the disposable types.  The bottom of your BBQ should be at a minimum height off the ground of at least 1ft (30cm).  Anything below that will burn the grass, leaving a less than perfect pitch for others to enjoy after you are gone.  The same principle applies to fire bowls or boxes.

If using a disposable BBQ, or emptying a metal one, please make sure that it is fully cooled down before placing it in a bin. Don’t be that person who melts our bins and starts a fire!

Finally, (and we know this sounds silly but we have been there) BBQs, especially the disposable type, should not be set down on plastic or timber picnic tables.

Can I park my car next to the accommodation?

Our pitch price includes one car which can be parked immediately adjacent to your pitch or in the designated area close to your pitch. We have a large car park at Reception where other cars can be parked, however, if it is necessary to have your second car at your pitch there is a €5 per night charge.

For our Scout and Guide friends using our bespoke and separate Scout and Guide camping grounds, this is a vehicle-free zone.  We ask that vehicles only come on-site for pick-up and set-down.  At all other times, your vehicle should be parked in the main car park.

Section 9: The accommodation

Are there glamping options available?

Yes. We have a limited number of glamping cabins available to book. The cabins can sleep up to 4 people (2 double beds), however, there is an option for an additional person if you have your own camping mattress which can be placed in the cabin if absolutely needed.

Are blankets/duvets and pillows included?

Yes. All of our glamping cabins are fully prepared for you to relax and enjoy! The cabins come fully equipped with ready-made beds (sheets, duvets, pillows, blankets) as well as electricity, an electric heating stove and tea/coffee making facilities.

Is there electricity in the glamping cabins?
